Kristin M. Sullivan, PhD

Senior Public Health Advisor

Dr. Kristin Sullivan joined Children Without Worms in 2022, bringing over 15 years of experience as an infectious disease epidemiologist. In her role, she provides tailored technical and strategic support to country programs to accelerate their efforts in achieving soil-transmitted helminthiasis control goals.

Her career spans outbreak response and vaccine-preventable disease surveillance in the United States, as well as clinical and observational research on neglected tropical diseases in countries such as Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Dr. Sullivan holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University, a Master of Public Health from Boston University, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she has taught Fundamentals of Epidemiology in the MPH@UNC program.
