CWW welcomes Monzur Patwary, Emory Humphrey Fellow

Monzur Morshed Patwary is a current Fellow with the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health. His fellowship focuses on pandemic preparedness and response, the health impacts of climate change, and avenues of collaboration between U.S. and Bangladeshi public health-focused organizations.

Monzur is a public health specialist with more than 11 years of experience working with companies like Novartis and BRAC. As a Senior Programme Manager for BRAC in Bangladesh, he successfully handled numerous sizable initiatives covering COVID-19 response, maternal and child health, and digitization of community health worker training. Additionally, he has spearheaded BRAC’s strategic partnership with the Bangladeshi government to support 8500 government-run community clinics nationwide in order to improve primary healthcare.

Monzur began working with CWW in January 2023, and will support CWW’s research efforts related to specific implementation research of program activities, and coordination with international partners, stakeholders, and investigators. He will also research best practices of key data to track the progress of national and global trends on Soil-transmitted Helminth (STH) control effort.
