Deworming day in Ghana

Health care volunteers Faustina and Alberta distribute Albendazole to control soil-transmitted helminths (STH) and Praziquantel to control schistosomiasis (also known as Bilharzia). Each child is also given a sachet of purified water to help them swallow the tablets. The nationwide deworming programme is a Ghanaian Health Service initiative supported by GSK. GSk is one of CWW's partners.
